There are some fabulous images on this thread. I am now enjoying my X100S and it\'s results. I particularly like the fixed 35mm focal length in preference to a zoom. I am using P.N and enjoy what it extracts from X TRANS raw files. Furthermore , I like the PN \"scenic\" colour profile.
The IQ of the X100 / S is excellent although the lens tend to produce a little softness towards borders , but this only seems visible at 75% to 100% pixel peeping.
I guess that its hard to produce a 35mm lens that is pin sharp all the way into the corners !!
Does anybody know of any cameras come with a 35mm lens which produce pin sharp images across the whole frame or will there always be a degree of subtle softness towards the edge of the frame ? I\'m just curious.
I know that many like the Leica X2 , Sony RX1 or A7 - But hey , we\'re talking lots of money and I\'m not that perfection is achievable.
