I consider myself a potential customer for this lens and I\'ve been reading these threads incessantly. Given the small test group and spotty results with Servo AF thus far, I remain on the fence.
In the meantime, I\'ve got a date with a local seller to evaluate a 10 year old 100-400L at a fair price. I had a good copy once and let it get away so if this one performs like the last one, I\'ll buy it and have my birding fun this summer.
If testing on the Tamron proves out for BIF or if a fix comes via FW update (if a fix is actually needed?) then the Tamron might yet be of interest.
In the meantime, thank you to everyone posting their results and opinions, I appreciate all tests being done.
