Re: Official: Sony A7 and A7R Fullframe Mirrorless
For those who have been fortunate to be testing the A7/A7r, has anyone experienced issues with the brightness of the EVF. My experience so far, is frustrating with outdoor shots, beach scenes, where I have exposed for the sky maintaining cloud details, so as to not burn the highlights. The images in the EVF are very dark, and virtually impossible to see the images correctly to either compose or focus on, as they are exposed to the left.
I have manually adjusted the brightness, to maximum which is +2, but still lacking somewhat. My understanding with other Sony\'s cameras it is possible to bypass the real time view function, to maximize the viewing capabilities for composing and focusing, while the exposures are slightly to the left in bright ambient lighting.
For outdoors, unless I am missing something in the menus, the EVF there is no function to adjust other than just the brightness.
I am finding the LCD and the Oly VF-2 on the M240 to be much better in the brighter ambient lighting. I do hope there is not an issue with my A7r, in adjusting to the brighter ambient lighting.
