My dealer just told me that my A7r shipped this morning and will be here sometime tomorrow. I didnt order any lenses with it, but I did order the Metbones EOS to E mount III adapter which should arrive tomorrow or Sunday.

I will be testing the camera with the 17mm and 24mm TSE lenses as well as six different Zeiss ZE lenses from 21mm to 135mm. I don\'t have any autofocus Canon glass, so I wont be able to test any AF functions out. I will mostly be using this on a tripod so AF is meaningless to me anyway.

Hopefully all this will work well together.

I have tried two different ZE 21mm on my Metabones III (on NEX 5N) and neither will make infinity. Please report as to whether yours does. Thanks so much!

I just tested the camera with the 21mm Distagon, the 17mm TSE and the 135mm APO-Sonnar. The camera focused perfectly at infinity with all three lenses. The Metabones III seems quite well built and it works very well. The few quick test shots I took, processed in Iridient and examined in CS6 look very good. Later this afternoon I am going to go out and take some more more real shots. The ones I just took were out my back window. Nothing exciting, but I wanted to test the camera. Also I found it is definitely best to trigger the camera either wirelessly or with the remote, I suspect due to the higher pixel count it is any vibration is going to be magnified a fair amount.

I will post a a couple of sample images later after I get back.
