Not sure if you are talking to me or not, but I\'m definitely not offended, nor is my woof! dog lying at my feet here.
As I said ^^^ I would not call any lens a dog without seeing it perform on its native camera but more than that, I agree that there\'s more to pixel peeping and edge to edge sharpness in defining what makes a lens good, bad, or great and personal preference certainly plays a big part in that determination.
Central sharpness looks good for the Lux on the A7; hopefully also will on the A7r. My own preference for core optics in my kit is for good edge to edge sharpness throughout most of the aperture range, so I\'m liking what the FE55 is doing in that regard, that\'s all. I\'ve owned some Zeiss wides that at times looked pretty busy in out of focus areas but haven\'t owned a Sonnar 50 which has a rendering I like; I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the out of focus areas were on the FE55 on the close in shot, looking quite a lot like the Lux is a compliment.
With so few tests and so few copies of lenses being test the best we have now is warning smoke wafting through the trees. With some of the lenses in question there\'s probably a blaze burning nearby; with others, maybe not. Wait until some of us have the camera for real and can start using them and we\'ll quickly know what\'s what.
