I\'m good with the 1.8 if it means a better corrected lens. Imo, the partial stop diff is not quite as critical as what it once was ... given the improvements in ISO and the ability to offset only a partial stop diff without too much penalty if you really needed that partial stop for exposure.
The removal of the mirror affords the ability to design for optical excellence without impedance. I\'d like to think (as others have previously alluded to) that this is essentially the Otus design concept toward \"no compromise\" (although 1.8 and size are a compromise for some) in mirrorless form ... rather than an \"let\'s make it small\" or \"uber-fast\" effort that incurs additional challenges at optical compromises to well corrected.
