Gulf Fritillary , Egg, Caterpillar

Back to the small things The Gulf Fritillaries have been very busy laying eggs on the passion flower tendrils.
Amazing that they seem to prefer the tendrils over the leaves.

I went out looking to see if I could find some of the eggs. They are so very small, but found a few.
While I was looking one of the butterflies actually landed on my arm and laid an egg on it

I know I have posted the shots of the butterfly on the tendril, but posting again just for the reference.

This morning it rained. So I thought drops of rain on the tendrils , reflections, eggs , should make some nice shots.
So pull out the tripod , macro lens, camera and flash. Well I guess I did not have the camera mounted correctly on the tripod, as the whole thing feel off the tripod !!!! I always double check, but still fell off Fell 3 to 4 feet to the grass and now camera not working , hot shoe broken and who knows what damaged maybe to the lens. Needless to say , not a good day. Well not so bad , had a good encounter with the butterfly .

As always you nits , crits and comments are greatly appreciated.

Thank you for letting me vent my camera drop .
