Re: Fujifilm X100/X100s Thread

Now that they are more or less available, I traded in the last of my Canon DSLR gear for a X100s. I now have only Fuji X cameras and lenses with a smattering of legacy lenses. I\'ll get out in the next few days & play around with it. I have been reading this thread since day one off & on. I just have not felt compelled to say anything. There are some nice shots here and the dialog is both constructive & friendly.

My only fist hand experience with an X100 was a few shots I took last year at a wedding with a camera a guest had with him. I liked it then and have wanted one ever since. My first impression of the X100s is favorable. Control layout is a bit different than the X pro1 & X-E1\'s that I have, but not so that it is a handicap. Once I figure it all out, it will be nice. I might even post a few images if I can manage to capture anything worthy.

I think a step up ring & a Canon 250D close up lens will make this a pretty useful all around kit for my travels.

Edit: I had a look at my first outing with this camera, which was a walk with my grandkids to a local swamp.

My first shot, Sorry my dog was busy & I have no cat!

another couple
