I\'ve only had this camera for a few hours. I\'ve found a lot to like so far.

The shutter button reminds me of a custom rifle trigger. A light touch and that thing goes off. I hit it a few times just by brushing against it. I do a lot of hand held photography, or mostly hand held. I think the light and quiet shutter will help in that area! I like the 5 stop exposure compensation and 3 stop exposure scale on the top display and viewfinder. Locking mode dial.

I hike miles and miles with my DSLR. The size and weight decrease for me is a gift! The ultimate backcountry & travel camera, maybe? Simple button layout, nice design. I applaud anyone who designs for simplicity in this world that tends towards over complexity. So <high fives> to Canon for that.

As for the IQ? Need a few weeks for that. But shooting around the house is making me think positive.
