Michiel I quite like the bokeh from that Rubinar. How do you like your speedbooster? Still considering one but am waiting to see how the Zeiss Touit lenses are first.
I am very happy with the Speedbooster and use it almost as my regular adapter, at least for all my C/Y mount lenses and also M42 mount lenses, although the M42 to C/Y adapter can be trricky at times, because the very little difference in registar distances.
Do longer lenses vignette more than normal?
How would you judge corner performance?
I am really looking forward for the Minolta Version.
My Zeiss Vario- Sonnar vignets at the long end but not much. The Rubinar does not at all but that will be due to the mirror construction.
In the Speedbooster thread I did some corner 100% crops of the 18/4 Distagon. Not bad at all. It surely doesn\'t make a lens with bad corners better though.
I think it is fair to say that there is a slight loss of sharpness in the corners, but in no way comparable fron what I have seen from the other brands.
I hope they can manage to make one for the MD mount, but I think we will see an Olympus mount sooner. Easier, I think, because there are less things sticking out into the adapter.
BTW What kind of exhibition did you visit? Interesting!
