I would keep the VRII
There are only two things better about the 70-200 VRI
1. Price
Important if you need the money or want to get a second lens.
2. Narrow Barrel fits my hand better.
Important if you hand hold the lens for long periods of time.
Same two things are true of the 80-400 VRI.
