After reading and reading and looking at all the great images hear on FM I stopped waiting for the D400 and got myself a D7100.
After some tweaking (I owe Trenchmonkey a beer ).
AF is very fast (as fast as my D800E), tracking is very good as well.
No problems with the speed and the buffer, although I would like to have it a bit better.
