Copying CF card from one camera to SD card in another camera
For those occasions that I don\'t want to take a laptop to backup/transfer images and empty my CF cards, I am considering using a high capacity (and relatively cheap) SD card in my 5D3 as an offload point. I know this probably shouldn\'t be done as a matter of routine, but I was wondering if there are any reasons why it would be unadvisable take a full CF card from one camera (say, 7D or 1Dx) and insert it into my 5D3 and then copy those images over to an SD card in the 5D3.
The most obvious issue, to me, is the possibility for some type of data corruption due to one camera reading a card that was formatted in another. Although, I\'m not even sure that is a valid concern.
I would appreciate any input from informed individuals . Oh, and I\'m sure that someone will be quick to suggest that I just buy more CF cards, but I would rather not go down that road.
