In all cases, I found the 1.4X caused over-exposure by around 2/3 stop. It can be seen in all the exif data here. I made corrections to the exposure and general PP for color, contrast, and sharpening.
Overall, the addition of the Extender didn\'t demolish IQ/resolution, but it did noticeably lower it a bit -- coming out just a bit better than if the 17mm image had been cropped to the same size. Of course noise and grain structure is improved by using the 1.4X and not cropping, so it is a trade-off. Certainly lighter to carry a 1.4X instead of the 24 TS-E II.
