I didn\'t notice this when you posted last year. I was looking for this thread to provide an update on the Oly 24/2.8 s/n list, as I just bought one with the \"MC\" label and s/n in the 100xxx series, just like the one you posted above. These 100xxx MC serial numbers all \"predate\" the original \"chrome nose\" first-gen lens serial numbers, and so I think this indicates that Olympus decided to re-order the s/n sequence, and return the \"MC\" label for the most recent version of this lens.
