It would seem that by far the dominant group on FM are \" hackers\".....they seem to run the show on the Canon Gear Forum.
The \" craftsman/artists\" are one half in numbers compared to \"hackers\". I guess in that group we have members who might have just embarked on their dSLR journey such as Roger Cicala. In addition, we are likely to find people who have sharpened their photography focus onto the most essential lenses for their art or craft, and those people obviously refuse to join the lens race, and probably they do not need to either.
We do have a goodly number of \" know-it-alls\".....I guess they experience a sudden epiphany and an avalanche of photograhic knowledge once they reach about ten lens inventory.
Then, there are them \" collectors\". Those folks are few in numbers, and they generally do not hide the fact that their photographic priorities are not always in picture making. Collecting has its own raison d\'etre. I, for one, am proud to be a \"collector\", although that designation is often used, or taken, in a denigrating fashion.
Lastly, there is the runaway crowd, the \" demented\" ones, perhaps not quite 12 of them (I question the sincerity of some poll inputs there), however, whatever they do with all those EF lenses, I hope it\'s legal and that they are gaving fun.
