You may not miss the $580 but sounds like you use your 24-70 enough that you would be replacing it.
Add a near mint used 24mm f/1.4 or a 14-24 to your lens collection instead.
The 14-24 is as good at 24mm and 14mm except it is f/2.8 instead of 1.4
It could be a good investment, even if you do not use it all the time.
