I ordered the Sigma 35 1.4 and 85 1.4 after talking with the Sigma dealer and they told me some interesting things. After the old man died(Sigma boss/owner) his son took over and he decided to turn Sigma into a premium brand and no longer be a cheap alternative to Canon and Nikon. The first thing he did was that he change the QC and implemented a new system.
Both lenses were perfect out of the box, no compensation needed for the focus, no need to send them in or return them.
