Peak fall at Stone Door within Savage Gulf, a part of the South Cumberland State Recreation Area in TN. I visit here quite often and was hoping for peak colors with decent light. Wasn\'t quite what I wanted but turned out better than expected. A beautiful day with nice big puffers low in the sky had myself hoping for a light show at dusk. On my hike out, the clouds rolled in and it was quite dreary and I thought it was going to be a bust. I waited til way after sundown and right as I was ready to leave, the clouds parted somewhat for a couple minutes letting in a little soft dusk light through the clouds. Not what I was hoping for but better than I thought. The ensuing days were filled with wind and rain, knocking a good portion of the leaves off. So, this was it for here this year.
