That would be the fence, it\'s complete in-focus presence across the image, defeating the 3D look.
Your 1st image has separation between the bench and tree, thus drawing your eye full front to back, your focus point, composition, is the magic! It\'s also the sparseness of this 1st scene that lends to the 3dish look!
The old barn in the 2nd image distracts IMO...
