Just as I did in the other thread, let me put the Amazon sales rank for DSLRs in here:

Interestingly even though 5DIII sales are split in two kits (body only as well as with the 24-105 lens), yet even each of these kits individually has higher sales rank than D800. And if you combine the two kits then they must have much larger sales overall at this point than D800.

Again I don\'t really care whether Canon or Nikon is selling more cameras. I have used both Canon and Nikon DSLRs and will probably use both in the future depending on which one fits my needs better at any point. But I do wonder how people fabricate all types of claims about camera sales etc with no data whatsoever to back it up.
