Well I\'m shooting with it and it renders really beautifully - very much like the 35 f1.4. That\'s what I meant about the lens being similar to the 35mm Distagon. How it performs in terms of CA, vignetting, and other measures of optical performance is completely different.
I saw the proofs also but I\'m talking about shooting people and models wide open in ambient light. It\'s a very beautiful and \"cinematic\" lens for me in how it \"draws\". It has a special magic - however YMMV.
