same as 5D II --- the 6D concentrates on giving a very good center point / assist points

I suspect it will focus better than the 5D II it replaces

the 5D III replaced the 1DS III and so required the \"pro\" focusing capability

I think we should be clear: the 1DX replaced both the 1Ds3 and 1D4; the 5D3 replaced the 5D2; the 6D is a new entry level FF with no antecedent to replace, not a 5D2 replacement.

The possibility that the 6D may be able to compete and possibly better the 5D2 in center AF, IQ and video, is really a set of positives we should be considering, looking at the new model, not that it doesn\'t match up to the 5D3, D800 or D600.

Naturally, at this price point, we aren\'t going to get all the bells and whistles, or even some features we like in higher end camera. But if IQ is good and AF consistent, we should be able to live with its few \"shortcomings\". It\'s not like we were promised more and got less. It seems like, compares to the 5D2, we are getting more at a lower price than that camera\'s introduction.
