Professional Courtesy or Bob in the Wings?


Hi all. Just had the following email. Can\'t make my mind up about this one. Will probably let it lie, but would be interested to hear some views. On the one hand I think, good of him to get in touch, on the other I think, while I have no problem with other people shooting the day (it happens at every wedding) I don\'t particularly like it when another pro wants to \'deliver a set\' possibly ahead of me.

Hi Tony

My name is xxx, I am Leon\'s best man. Im just dropping you a note to let you that I will be taking a few shots myself. I am a photography lecturer and want to give them my twist on the day. As i am obviously involved in the ceremony etc it will really only be the reception that Il be shooting, I will use a very simple and small camera, no flash and I will do my best to not step on your toes.

Just letting you know out of profesional courtesy.
