Not only that but you can instantly jump into a magnified EVF view from OVF to check focus. I used this all the time and it works seamlessly (and did I mention instantly).

Perhaps sebboh is talking about focus fall off ala EVF/ SLR (also seen in instant EVF mode but if you want to see that constantly when framing, I can see the preference for EVF/SLR.
