Is it at all possible that the shoot mode dial (S/C/MF/DMF), could also double as a mechanical mount-release button? The only person to claim it is fixed lens is the SAR admin, and specs for this camera has been very tightly controlled. It was only a day ago that it was claimed the camera was a \"PRO NEX\", and even full-frame had not been conclusively confirmed.
If not, then surely it is possible to disassemble the lens from the body in a non-destructive fashion. There has to be incentive for a Chinese manufacturer to make a m-mount adaptor that can use whatever fixture is required. The remaining question would then be whether the firmware would support it.
Anyway, it\'s a breakthrough for Sony. I can understand the fixed lens option, in terms of not wanting to undermine A99 sales too much. Also it avoids the usual complaints (not fair imho) of Sony not having an adequate lens selection to compliment their bodies.
