I bought my first 1GB \"microdrive\" for $500 when the Canon D30 was released. I still have it for collection.
I still use that 1GB card for a quck shot of something around the house,once in a while...It fell apart years ago after I kept dropping it(including in the water). I kind of glued the outer shell together,but it\'s really flimsy and fits the back to the front...
Oh, and then a few months later I was told on this forum that I was crazy for shooting weddings with such a large card as it was way too many eggs in a basket.
6mp camera x1gb card. Now we shoot with 16-24mp and 16-64GB cards and for some reason, even though the ration is really high, nobody thinks it\'s too many eggs.
