Just got back from the Parade of Sails (Tall Ships - Newport, RI), it was beautiful; weather-sky-temps. My shooting platform (52ft Cat) was the way to go on this trip. I used the 70-200 MkII on the 5D MkII, and the 24-105L on the 7D for the close-in shots. I had the 400mm in the pack, but never pulled it out for myself; it got passed around to others with Canon gear. They were very pleased with what they ended up with from what I overheard, so everyone was happy... Now I have to go through about 1300 images to get them down to the real keepers, but here are eight that I like.
