No kidding about that......in fact, based on what I gather, a fair number of 800L owners use their lens handheld with varying frequency and duration. Besides, I couldn\'t shoot a smallish Common tern or a similar bird in flight off a pod, and I\'d like to hear from someone who can. (Please no lucky shots. ). It\'s hard enough doing it with 800L handheld.
