Rhinos by request

A couple of you guys have asked to see a few more rhino shots and so here goes. These are all white rhino, which of course are not white but the name comes from the Afrikaans word \"weid\". It refers to the square or wide lipped rhino as opposed to the black or hook lipped rhino. And their temperaments are very different. Black rhinos are quite dangerous and not easy to approach whereas the white rhino is much more docile and I have even had a calf come over to the vehicle and nudge the spotter who sits on the front of the vehicle with its tiny horn. There is a theory that the eyesight of a calf is better than the adults\' and so they may stay in front and be less reluctant to investigate strange or new things. The collective for a group of rhinos is a \"crash\".

7 And by comparison a pair of black rhino seen in Ngorongoro crater....no off-roading here so they must come to you and often they don\'t.
