The o-ring (or rubber band) over the dial method is what I was planning, so I ordered the recommended size, but my dial is stiff enough to not need it, for me. I\'ve yet to have the dial accidentally bumped even once, although I haven\'t used it much. In fact, since I use my index finger to change the exp. comp., I don\'t think I\'d want the dial any firmer. If I was a betting man, I\'d bet that mine is firmer than prior X100s, because I really can\'t imagine anyone complaining about mine being loose. I\'ve read that, like the X10 and X-Pro1, the new black X100 has a firmer dial, but I haven\'t seen anything about newer silver X100s.
