By the way, as far as I know the Gauss design is the most common type you\'ll encounter. At any rate, the lens should be worth the cost of an adapter unless the optics are in really bad shape. To clarify: there is only one type of adapter that works will all types of this lens -- they all have the same Nikon F mount. Just buy an adapter and enjoy the lens.
