How do you find a fly/bee/creature which doesn\'t fly away?

Know their habits. Don\'t try to shoot them in the full sun on a warm day -- they\'re crazily active then. Macro shooters are sharing lots of their experience/advice around the web, so just take a bit of time to read up if you really want to try.

AhamB. I general I would avoid the web for good advice. There are tons of \"experts\" but there is very little valuable information they have to report. What remains is only confusion for someone who wants to learn. I would always recommend to study your subject. Read some books about it as a good start. And a good book about technique from good writers like Martin Evening, Bruce Fraser, Ellen Anon, Jeff Schewe and Dan Margulis (to name a few) is a true investment in knowledge.

One of the few valuable technical related websites I know of is: http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/
