I saw a clear and exact comparison between the 5d2 and 5d3 that someone did at low and high ISOs.
The major difference is the dynamic range - the shadow noise improvements are visible from ISO800 - the 5d3 just had detail and clarity that the 5d2 didn\'t have. ISO6400 and especially ISO12800 are usable on the 5d3 whereas IMO they weren\'t on the 5d2. They were still relatively noisy but no part of the image was unusable, whereas the shadow areas of the 5d2 didn\'t look good.
I\'d say it was a good improvement having seen a clear comparison. However, it\'s not \"twice as good\" or anything.
I\'ll put a post together to show what I saw..
