I don\'t know that it is my best lens, but it is certainly a very pleasant surprise. Great details and color -- plus it\'s good wide open. It is a rather slow zoom, but the focal range is very useful, being almost the same as my most-used lens, the Canon 24-70/2.8L (mostly used for event-type photos). This lens is far better than the R 28/2.8 version 1 that I owned for a short time a few months ago.
Here are a few from a rare cloudy day in Southern California. Nice sun, with soft bounce light -- perfect for this lens! Great details in the branches and leaves of trees. Great rendition on skin tones. Samuli -- don\'t tell me I have to look for a 80-200 now!
Leica R 28-70/3.5-4.5 shot on 5D2 @ ISO 200 and 400.
