Two points:
A. It\'s not different from the situation of distribution for the previous versions. In fact, the speed from announcement to actual availability has been rather astounding.
B. Of course Canon is not up to speed after the tsunami. Honshu lost a full 25% of its total power generation capacity. That\'s a crippling blow.
Agree, besides actual availability to me is walk in to Any store and buy. Or open any web site and buy. I own 5D & 5D2 since day one of their availability, and I remember what happened.
