Sounds like the OP really needed to RTFM before going on a paid job with the camera. Sure some issues he reports are real potential issues. But half of the stuff is just unfamiliarity with the new camera. If one had owned a 7D in the past there would be no issues with most of this stuff.

And come on, focusing on a white wall?? Its called contrast detect AF for a reason!!
