Finally got out this morning looking for some exotic wildlife to test the V1 w/500/4.0 and the 1.4 tele-extender. 1st pic is a reference, shot with the 30-110 - 35mm = 297mm
The rest were shot w/500/4 x 1.4 = 1890mm. At first I thought some were quite soft but then I reminded my self it is 1890mm.
Other observations - temps were around 0 to 5 F this morning, better trials when it warms up.
One has to anticipate the subjects moves more than with a DSLR. My hit rate is lower than w/D3s however I don\'t have a 1900mm anything for that body.
