Re: Batch Rename from Multiple Cameras
Here\'s our wedding work-flow to ensure images from multiply camera bodies all fall into place and time order:
1) I sync the clocks on all bodies before each wedding (yes they do creep out of sync in an amazingly short time.)
2) Download the CF cards using adobe bridge in separate \'card\' folders.
3) Burn DVD\'s of all files without any deleting/editing.
4) Move/sort image files from all CF card folders into \'Preparations\' \'Ceremony\' and \'Reception\' folders.
5) Sort in bridge by \'Date created\' which also sorts by time taken using the clock, as well.
6) Rename all images in each folder 1001, 1002 for preparation images, 2001, 2002 for ceremony images etc etc.
7) Initial culling of duplicates, unflattering and creative \'test\' images.
8) Initial processing of all 300-350 final images.
9) Back up to portable HDD and to DVD media.
10) Blog wedding and invite couple into studio for champagne preview on return from honeymoon.
11) Design albums and other large format printed products based on client image selection.
12) Back up final album design to HDD and DVD media.
13) Deliver complete package to couple.
End
Cheers,
Nic
