It\'s pretty easy to see that high MP sensors, faster flash sync and superior auto focus do not equate to a $3-4000 price difference. Canon wants you to think it does, but it does not. Canon HAS spent the better part of it\'s heyday crippling features on the camera most people buy (5D and 5D2) only to charge a bundle for it in the 1Ds3 which, by comparison to the 5D series sold many less. However, these are features that should not be crippled. The 5D2\'s focus should have been better and I have a feeling even if there were a $50 price difference photographers would have gladly paid for it. I really feel Nikon has distinguished their cameras enough that the market can bear the price difference but it does so in a way that\'s not insulting to photographers and what they can benefit with like the way Canon does it.
