My \"canon loyalty\" is basically gone. I am just waiting for a chance when I can afford to switch.
Canon\'s system sucks overall. Everything they have done has been behind ever since the D700/D3 era began. The 7D serves no purpose for me, and that has been their most rounded/best overall design in a long time. Autofocus is the bane of Canon. Truncating AF functionality and having a focus system that is neither practical (e.g. 5D single center point only to work with for some semblance of reliability) nor consistently reliable...100% my biggest problem with Canon.
God I just hate the unreliability of Canon AF. Even trying the 1D series cameras at PMA I was left feeling like, \"Ok so why isn\'t it focusing consistently accurately? Nikon can do it...\"
If Canon made their AF more reliable, I would want to keep my stuff. It\'s just that one, extremely critical problem that ruins them for me.
