Re: Windows or Apple?

I finally switched from Windows to Apple last year. As you probably know, Apple likes software designed by Apple so if you stick with their stuff it\'s sometimes easier to solve any problems. For individual Windows OS the only support I found was a top listed on company on Google. Calls were directed to India. You get 3 incident calls, even if you only want one, at a cost of $160. And if broken English is no barrier, and time is unimportant you\'ve got a 50-50 shot a solving the problem. Half the time it is a 3rd software company\'s fault and they pass the buck.

Apple = Excellent Customer support by Americans in America, and unlimited for 3 years with a $80 Apple Care Plan after one year. Windows is fine, but I ended up having to install expensive yearly anti-virus software that eventually self-destructs (4 products for me), especially if using two different \"anti\" company\'s products. Apple is almost bulletproof in that area. I like that the Mac\'s are self contained. No more towers. iTunes is nicer on a Mac then on Windows IMO. Aperture 3 is pretty good too... and the iPhones, iPads, iPods, and iMacs all are on the same page. No messing around with separate platforms.

Other than those things it doesn\'t make a whole lot of difference between the two. Both work, but there will be an small adjustment if you end up with Apple.
