That\'s an off-topic comment of tremendous proportion, and not sure what place it has in this thread. Singling out Apple (or even the tech industry) as some sort of demon is misguided, at best; the U.S.--and the world, for that matter--wants cheap stuff, and is becoming (necessarily?) incapable of producing cheap \'stuff\'. China long ago chose to fill a void that we, ourselves created, out of our own economic success.

not off-topic, I was just pointing out that when some of us were saying Apple was doing super well, that it actually wasn\'t 100% simply due to different basic management philosophy, although that\'s probably the larger chunk, just trying to add in a touch of fairness back toward Canon and Nikon.
but plenty of other companies don\'t have a great record over there either, to one extent or another, although not so much the Japanese camera makers

I suggest everyone go out do research and read up as much as they can on the topic from a wide variety of sources rather than listen to someone\'s PR spiel here (or myself, I won\'t say more).
