The mirror will actually leave some marks on the rear retainer ring where it hits. Sounds bad but I\'ve seen no marks on the mirror itself yet :-)

Anyway, I have a photo of a grinded ring which should give you an idea how to do it. I\'ll take a look when I come home to see if I find it. Have not done it myself though, but I imagine it will no only solve the mirror-hit but also infinity-focusing. Mine b a r e l y focus at infinity, and it seem that this part of the ring is the culprit both for the mirror-hits and that.

Maybe someone else can confirm?
(5DMkII - 58/1.2 - in my case old metallic version)

Edited for clarity...
Depending how your lens was converted, a) Destructively (http://www.cogitech.ca/Rokkor/index.html ), or b) Non-Destructively (http://www.jimbuchananspace.com/Camera_Services.html ) or (www.leitax.com/Rokkor-lens-for-Canon-cameras.html )

So if yours was destructively converted, such that yours barely reaches focuses at infinity, then the silver ring may need more sanding.(Jim\'s kit has a machined ring)
see this ring below

This is the rear retaining ring being filed(extreme caution if doing it this way, and use vinyl electrical tape to protect the element) to help clear the mirror.
