Two samples to show the performance of the TC20EIII with the old 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S (becoming a 160-400mm f/5.6 with faster AF than the 80-400mm VR):

This new TC works well with old 80-200mm af-s, at least for short distances.


At least for short distances (< 20m ) and for \"stalking\" wildlife, it appears this new TC works well with the 80-200mm af-s.
