Re: What's more important for using Lightroom, memory, or vid...

My bad ... should\'ve been www.cpubenchmark.net ... NOT .com

i5-2500K ... scores nicely (7,482) and has a nice bang/buck ratio too
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-2500K+%40+3.30GHz

But for the extra $90-$100, the i7-2600K scores about 35% higher (10,072) and is also nice bang/buck ratio
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i5-2500K+%40+3.30GHz

I think for a fresh build, I\'d opt for the i7 ... reason, not for today\'s speed difference, but for how long it\'ll be before you\'ll be \"jonesing\" for your next build. You\'ll \"outgrow\" the i5 probably a year or so sooner than the i7 ...

Which CPU will you be coming from on your laptop?
