Update... the Windows version is about 5 to 8 times faster. Not sure why that is. Careful though, two BSODs in 20min. of editing. I guess this really is a Beta. hehe
Bi, no BSOD for me (touch wood ) but this beta version really clogs up my resources and processing up to 85%, fan spinning so loud I could hear it with my music on. Already uninstalled last night after 15 minutes of playing but I do like the NR and WB addition on adjustment brush
For the BSOD try playing a slideshow of 1000 RAW images.
85%, Yup, it did that to me on Mac too. All 8 cores hitting 80% ~ 98%. At first I thought \"Awesome, it\'s multi-core finally!\" and then I was like, \"but wait it\'s 3 or 4 times slower than the previous version\" - not \"Winning\". That\'s in 10.6.8
On Windows7 (32), a single core laptop with a 3.2Ghz pentium, the CPU meter didn\'t seem to surpass 65% and on top of that editing was about the same speed or a little faster than on the Mac.
I agree about the new brushable tools! I can\'t wait for those to become available in ACR where I\'ll actually use them. I wonder if they already are and the DL is just waiting for me.... <runs off to look>
