The D3 was the camera which made photographers switch from Nikon to Canon, and which pulled Nikon ahead of Canon in Japan, so I *really* don\'t understand that comment. That 12MP sensor has been kicking ass for years now, with a class-leading 24MP camera to back it up, in case that is what you need.
