Thanks for the link. Sounds like there is still only 1 actual photo site but the color filter array above it consists of 6 colors instead of 4 to somehow more accurately interpolate the correct color. I would expect there must still be some error as the color is still guessed at, it\'s just a better guess. Still very exciting and I can\'t wait to see what the image quality looks like. Knowing Fuji, the color should be amazing.


I think the key element here is random versus regular. The 6 photosites are randomly distributed unlike the bayer pattern which follows a regular distribution. It is claimed that the random pattern is more film like, and does not necessitate an AA filter.
