If I am correct Diglloyd is testing the Nex 7 with the Summicron 28 and as I understand it now it also shows edge colorations.
Herb
would love to see how that went but would rather put 40 bucks toward my own n7
herb when you have a chance would love to see links to fulls for your wides + n7.
the cv 35/1.2 looks great, but you should be seeing colorshift on the skopar 35 and perhaps edge issues as well.
Fulls from your tests with the 15 would be really useful.
Perhaps we will just have to wait for some other M9 substitute
Hello Uhoh7,
At the moment I have very limited time to continue my investigations. I can not promise anything unfortunately.
We all have to realise that the Nex7 has not been designed for rangefinder lenses. Using these lenses is just a hit or miss situation. At the moment there is no manufacturer that makes a camera most of us here would like to see. A full 35 mm format Nex 7 like camera that is optimised for rangefinder lenses and is in the price range of an EOS 5D mk2 or even less. Or to look at it in another way: an M9 like camera with live view at a third of the price.
For the coming year my hopes are with Ricoh with their new a16 M mount module. But this is still not full format.
For now the Nex 7 is the best we have. We can use it to our advantage and we can learn some workarounds for it\' s limitations.
